No longer a prisoner

Okay, this is gonna sound kind of goofy, but hey, what else would you expect anyway. Before our referral, I was on the computer as much as possible. I don't have the internet at work, but as soon as I got home, I would check the Rumor Queen site and my many other adoption groups message boards. I was on the computer A LOT! Now, I'm still interested in my computer, but I feel as though a "burden" has been lifted. I felt obligated to read all the rumors there were and so many group e-mails that didn't even pertain to me, just as a precationary "what if that happens to me". Don't get me wrong, I still love reading other people's blogs and want to keep up with whenever TA's (travel approval) come in, but I don't feel that need for rumor information as strongly as I did before. I have many friends who are still waiting and a family member who is still waiting for her referral too, so my days of RQ rumors are not over...however, I finally feel as though I can just walk away from the computer without the need to constantly hit "refresh" every few minutes.

I'm hoping for speedier referrals for my friends and those still waiting. We all need a break sometimes.

I am so happy for you. Enjoy every minute of it. You deserve this your going to be such a great mom. Now you can just take a moment and breath nothing wrong with that.

Just ran across your site. Congrats to you!

Am also a Louisville blogger but not an adoptive mom... I have a very close friend who adopted from China last year and am always so happy to see a child find their forever family!!

Hope to follow your journey!

I can;t wait to feel that way in just 3 weeks or so - especially since I am starting in a new dept, that same week!
