Oreo Truffles...YUM!!!!

I made these this weekend...no reason, just because and I'm glad I did! They are pretty, tasty and would make an excellent holiday treat! Mine made 52.

8 oz. cream cheese
1 pound Oreos
1/2 tsp of vanilla (could leave it out, not sure it added much flavor)
1 pound milk or dark chocolate chips
1/2 pound white chocolate chips

Grind Oreos to fine powder in food processor (if you're lucky to have one...in my case, I beat the hell out of them while they were closed in freezer bag). Mix cookie powder and cream cheese until thoroughly mixed (there should be no white traces of cream cheese). Roll into small or bite-size balls and place on wax-lined cookie sheet. Chill 30 minutes in freezer. Line two cookie sheets with wax paper. In double-boiler or microwave, melt milk or dark chocolate. Dip balls and coat thoroughly. With slotted spoon or fork, lift balls out of chocolate and let excess chocolate drip off. Place on wax-paper-lined cookie sheet. In separate double boiler or microwave, melt white chocolate. Using a fork, drizzle white chocolate over balls. Let cool. Store in airtight container, in refrigerator.
