Okay, so I never blogged about this, but a couple of weeks ago I submitted 2 photos I took to a quarterly photo magazine. There is no prize...just the satisfaction of knowing someone else liked them too. They won't tell you if you haven't been chosen...will only tell you if you have been. The deadline was September 15th and they are supposed to tell you by 3 weeks after the deadline if your photo was chosen. At this point, I haven't heard anything, so I'm not sure how promising it is, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway!
I'm still learning the manual settings on my camera, so right now some of the pics that are posted on this site may be a bit blurry, but give me time, I'll get there. I love my Nikon D80. There are some bloggers out there that really have a gift for photography...Kris (a waiting mom), Shana (Sophie's mom) and Pioneer Woman. They have been my photography inspirations and I look forward to seeing their new photos. I really see photography as a great hobbie...it incorporates the whole family.
