I'm not flexible!

You ever wish you could work 4 10-hour days and have a long weekend? Working only four days a week sounds great, huh? Well, I have to say I always thought that would be wonderful too...until my company allowed us to do that. Then I tried it and have to say...I HATED flex time, it's not something that works for me and my family. It's not so bad when I'm already at work and staying later (it's quiet and I get a lot done), but when I get home, I've missed cooking for my family and feeding my baby....some days, even giving her a bath. Mark really did everything. A couple of weeks ago, for 2 whole days, she decided she didn't like me...she wouldn't let me rinse her hair after a shampoo, nor get her out of the tub to snuggle and dry her off...she wanted Dada ONLY! Then the next night, she refused to let me give her a bath at all...once again, only wanting Dada...oh, and this time she smacked me and told me "no". I was really hoping that having that the extra day off with Shayla (a zoo day, shopping, etc.) would make up for it...but for us, it didn't. I've worked too hard to bond with her to mess everything up by not being there. Now I'm back on my old schedule.

yeah I would say three 12 hour shifts might be okay when I get married and have kids but then again you don't know until you actually have a family at home. I hope it get's easier now that your back on your old schedule. :)

Glad I ran across this, I've always wanted a 4-day work week. I thought everyone loved them! But that makes since that Mommy is missed...

Good for you! I'm going to have to make major changes myself, three 12 hour shifts will NOT work!
